i kind of like it as it is, very natural looking.. but maybe some sort of hollow log would fill that front space nicely and stick with your naturalistic theme.
Actually, now I think about it I don't think a hollow log would fit, lol. I took the picture while I was standing up so it looks as if there's a lot of space on the front than it really is.

you'd have to measure to see how much room you have, but petsmart has a stump-like hollow log that is more tall than wide and fun for fish to swim in.. i think at least 1 of the member's tanks here had that in it.. it may fit in that spot better than a long log would.
Looks nice, you look to have the same problem as I have, you need a plant that is more bushy, that's what i would suggest to help fill room in the back. Add some more water too
Yeah. I always have a spare filter in all my tanks. Helps keep it clean, gives me peace of mind, and gives me cycled filter media if I start up a new tank).

i too like the natrual look of it all i try to make my tanks as naturual as possible good luck
I like it! I enjoy a natural, well-planted look. The fact that you're doing it with live plants is a bonus. As someone with a total "black thumb", I salute you
