Well I got two goldfish today.
I sell Manufactured Homes for a living, today we had to repo a house about 2-3 hours from my sales lot. When my crew got there the house still had all the furniture, clothes, food, etc. (pretty common). The power had been off for about three days. It also had the worse 10g tank I have ever seen. Completely green you could not even see the bottom. It was the home of a couple, male and female goldfish. So my crew called me cause they did not know what to do with the fish. I had them dump half the water and leave them in the house for the journey back. I brought the tank home, used one of my spare 10g tanks and gave them a new home. I posted some pics of the new guys (BTW they need names, hint, hint) in their new home. I will post some pics of the old tank later. It is still sitting on my porch outside! anyway here they are.
Just as it was loading, I was thinking what beautiful goldfish. They look kinda sad in the pic though. They should be happy though, they are at a better home now.
Tom
Poor little guys to get owners like that, sounds like they were never cared for much with tank conditions so bad. Glad they're in better hands now. Probably got hot for them with no A/C. A friend gave me a name idea - Fred & Barney. or maybe something like Gold & Dust or Pinky & The Brain (yea, i love that goofy cartoon).
Kinda Funny-- my dad works with a contractor, and the bank repoed a house, and my dad and his partner bought it-- anyway, long story short-- there was a goldfish pond in the back yard, so now my dad, who is a guppy man has decided to build a goldfish pond in his backyard. This summer should be interesting. I live 7 hours away from my parents so when I visit for the 4th of July it should all be done. I am sure it will be his pride & joy. In the mean time, my dad is maintaing this goldfish pond until they find a buyer. (I think he is hoping that they won't want the fish so he can take them)
