geesh, and i thought my female convict was colorful, my females dorsal has orange on the front, blue in the middle and yellow towards the back, and the whole top edge looks blue, and her anal fin has blue and her tail is yellow at the base, yours is much more vibrant than mine, shes gorgeous, can males have color as well, aside from the traditional black and grey? my male has some blue on him, if you look closely his fins are slightly irridescent

Thanks. Sadly todays cons are a bit washed out in color, but you can still come across some nice ones here and there.
And the males get nice coloring also. That male actually has very blue fins although they didn't show up well in the pictures. He is a bit of a baby, I had to seperate him from a group of Thorichthys Meeki (firemouths) because they pushed him around, and the firemouths were about 2" at the time. So when the camera comes out he pouts and tries to hide for most of the time.....
