before & after

well............. the new world cichlid tank was eating more and more at me
I know its such a shallow feeling to let that happen, as the boyfriend did help me out .....but I had to change it up now that things have settled down a bit ...something about that driftwood in the before, and the fact the bubble wands were in plain site, were really egging me on ....does anyone ever have those weirdo feelings when you look at your tanks? (its probably just me im sure LOL)

I know what you mean...I get to a point where I feel very happy with my deco and think that I can leave it that way. Then a few weeks later I feel like it just looks "wrong."

Looks great, btw.

The balance of the "after" is more pleasing to the eye. But I also like the unplanned/natural feel of the before. Big help eh?

I understand totally how you feel about your tanks though. When there's something "off" I just have to fiddle around until it quits bugging me. LOL

I like the openess of the before...I'm not really into tank decor at all unless it gives it a completely natural feel. But that's just me.

I think the after pic is better. More hiding holes for them to explore.

I PROMISE it'll be soon! My spring break is coming up, so maybe I can make it up your way then.
I can't wait to see the babies! I've been purposely not buying any fish because I know I have to keep room for the JD's. lol

Wonderful job Shawnie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!

Now, the before pic made the driftwood look like you dropped a foot long Babe Ruth bar in the tank!!! no offense meant! It was distracting from the tank as a whole.

The new setup is smoother....GOOD JOB.
