scratched my itch a tiny bit!

Took a trip to the pet store!!!!!!(Lucy started it!!!)

ALthough I came very very close to buying some clown loaches ( I really want some for my 75g tank carol!!) I didnt because I found this baby that needs major attention for now ....I saw the angel with missing venties and ask if I could have her at a lower price (they wanted $25 for pearl scales and got her for $10)
but as the manager was catching her, they broke her dorsal fin also ....
I felt so bad for her and still bought her for the $10 but I do have a 3 week guarantee on her instead of a 5 day....so hoping I can heal her fast!!!!!!

DSCF0636.JPGDSCF0637.JPG

but I did get 5 more neons, (no pics they are just too fast for me ) and one more male guppy that I adored the coloring on (like I need more guppies!!)

Best of luck.

Congratulations on them both!

I'm sure the angel will bounce back in no time under your wonderful TLC!

I think the guppy was a smart move. It wasn't a pregnant female you brought home

Did she want gravel? Is that why she went to the store?

I'm sure you can nurse her back to health, and she will be gorgeous. Also, trials like this usually bring out wonderful personalities in fish.

Keep us posted.

Thanks Shawnie he just loves Guppys When we lived in Georgia we had guppys everywhere(could be why we had 16 tanks ) but since we've moved here after a couple of days guppys get the shimmys and die. Don't have a clue why. So he just kind of visits them at the pet store

Yeah, I already let Riv know I'm interested in getting some of his Angels.
The only place I'd really get any from are private breeders at this point, I've lost too many Angels from Petsmart to unknown diseases.

That's great that you took her in Shawnie and I'm sure she will do great. Once I get my new camera I will have to take some pics of my pretty boys and see if I can't get you hooked up with a couple more guppies, they would look beautiful with blue gravel Your guppy is beautiful, very nice looking boy and I am sure the angel will be in tip-top shape soon.

YW The ones here are petsmart and petco. We have been going to Laconia to the Laconia pet center and Sea World in Salem. The prices are about average, I think we paid $7-8 for our medium pleco and around $4 for the guppy males. It's a little bit of a trek for you! We visited a pet store in Raymond a few months ago and that place was awful!
The african cichlids and plecs should be a good addition for you! I'm waiting for our tanks to be good and healthy so I can get a bn plec from one of the fl members, can't wait!!

I go to laconia about once a week..only takes me about 45 mins ..never seen the store tho hahaha....

if you went to little critters in raymond, yep they are horrid!!! their fish guy left and ever since, things been down hill..im almost tempted to try to get a part time job there to help things out!! I have a ton of abn's but no regulars....more than willing to share when you are ready!

Thank you Shawnie, I was trying to figure out what the abn stood for now I have it. The laconia pet shop has a website too, laconiapetcenter.com. They are really good with there fish, but occasionally you see a a dead one in the tank I hate that. You even get a 5% discount there if you become a member for $20 so we did that to buy some fish..hehe.
I wish you would work at the little critters I felt so bad for those fish..they had a JD and an albino oscar in a tiny little tank together, poor things could barely move; my honey rushed me out so I wouldn't buy them!

I've just got a question.

Isn't this one of those itches that is never really "scratched?" Like that hard to reach spot on your back that just continues to itch no matter how many times you think you've got it.

Lol it's okay, better that I learn the abbreviations now so I know what everyone is talking about That's sad that they do that to those poor fish
