| A Noobs New Tank. Check it out!! My first tank but second go at it. I started with goldfish but had to switch up because I had three in a twenty gallon which I later found out was overstocked. Decided to go tropical, so far I have three cory cats and three Serpae Tetras. Any Ideas on other fish I can add or ideas on aquascaping ? |

| The tank looks great! Serpaes can be nippy, if you see aggression, increasing their numbers might help.
I had neons with mine and they seemed fine. |

| Welcome to Fishlore.
I like the rocks.
The driftwood might look nice with some Java Moss or an anubias plant attached to it. |

| I really like what you've done with your tank. I agree with Nate - maybe some java moss or anubias on the driftwood, but really, it looks great. I like Lucy's idea of neons, but I'm biased I love neons |

| As for stocking, how big is the tank?
I'm thinking some rasboras, dwarf gourami (although might be a bit aggressive), guppies (or other livebearer if you're prepared for fry), danios.
Depends how big the tank is....
BTW - love the aqua scape, wish i'd done something like that to my new tank.... |

| Thanks Everyone,
I think I will pick up some Java Moss & Anubias. After reading up on them, I think it is so cool how they attach to rocks and wood. Right now it seems that my Serpaes are a little shy, they hide when ever I am around. I think I need to pick up 2 or 3 more so they can feel a little safer. Right now they don't seem to want to come out even for food, assuming they are suppose to come to the top of the tank to eat The food kinda floats up at the top until it slowly seeps down but even then, if it doesn't get to the area where they are(They stay at the bottom in the back of the tank), they don't go after it. I do see that the food that does get to them they attack it like MAD-FISH!! Anyway, i assume it is normal and will take time for them to get used to their new surroundings. My Cory, who lasted through the cycling process are completely comfortable. They are all over the place, they even come to the top of the fishtank and swim upside down to get the bloodworms I place there. Anyways, thanks again for all the ideas. Love Em!!! Quote:

20 Gallons, but when I move to Maryland in the next year, i will get me a 60+ gallon tank...Can't wait... | Anubias, java moss, and java fern are all great plant choices for you. They don't need a lot of light and they're very easy to grow. You can use fishing line or thread to tie any of these plants onto your driftwood or even your rocks. The plants will attach eventually and you'll be able to just cut away the thread. |
