I picked up 2 Bolivian Rams today. Can anyone tell me the sex of them or at least how to sex them?

Top-left picture: Probably female, but it's hard to tell from that angle
Top-right picture: Female on the left, can't tell on the right
Bottom-left picture: Female in front, can't tell in the back
Bottom-right picture: Female in front, can't tell in the back

The easiest way to sex them yourself is to examine the ventral differences. Those differences are explained with pictures in this thread: Sexing Bolivian Rams

It is very hard to determine gender. There are a lot of sites and posts offering things to look for... Try the bolivian rams club at cichlid forum. Beautiful fish. Great pictures!

Thanks for the help. I understand how to sex them now. When I bought them today the guy told me about the anal fin but he said they are too young to tell. Seeing the pictures really helps me understand what he was saying. This was also an employee in a chain store (petland discounts) so there are some good ones out there.

Now that I know what to look for I tried to take more pictures with both Rams being in each picture. I think that they are both female. Can someone either confirm or correct me?
