Meet Kermit the dwarf gourami. He's very camera shy so excuse the blurry, zoomed-in pictures.

I'm having trouble IDing him, the store I bought him from had him labeled as a coral blue DG or a blue coral DG...something like that. Anyway, I've never heard of them. I'm trying to figure out if he's a powder blue or a regular DG or what. No clue. Once I get better pictures I'll have to see if someone can ID him for me.

Thanks Lucy! Yeah, I don't blame you. My camera stinks. Hoping for a new one this holiday season.

The thing that makes me want to believe he isn't the ordinary DG look is that his red stripes aren't as prominent on his body as I've seen on other regular DG patterns.

Ive noticed that if you use flash on DG's the powder blue comes out LOL that's what happened with mine... just a suggestion

Thank you Tony and BB! I'm happy I got him. He's very passive of my glowlights, which is good.


On a side note, I think he may be a neon blue DG...I looked at some pictures on the web and saw some that look just like him.

He is definately a Dwarf Gourami. There are several color morph's now and there are different names for them,,,but the species dwarf gourami he is!!!

Well of course I knew he is a dwarf gourmai, Ted. Thanks though! lol.
I'm leaning towards neon blue as his coloration. Those are usually a tad more expensive than other colors, and he was about twice as much as a normal or powder blue DG.

Appears your camera has a issue of focusing on objects in the stance. If you can increase the resolution of the camera and stand back so it can focus better, you might get a better picture.

I tried to find that in my camera menu but it doesn't have. It's a 4MP camera, my 7.2MP one broke. I'm asking for a new one for the holidays.
