Rainbow Cichlid-Herotilapia Multispinosa

Attached are pics of my rainbow cichlids. I also included a pic of their tank. I need to add to the aquascaping for their comfort level. They tend to be a little shy and like to have a place to hide and watch everything that's going on in the room.

Any suggestions would be welcome. I was thinking some more plants and another cave-like ornament.

Tony, you're as cichlid-crazy as I am.

I'd thought about a background and forgotten about it. I'm glad you brought that up.

So I guess we're thinking the same thing, more plants and another cave. I can do that. I have extra plants and ornaments in my "fish stuff" bins.

That's a really good idea! I definitely will put that on my list of things to buy. I've gotta go shopping Friday anyways. Home Depot always has the terra cotta pots.

Hi Bolivianbaby

Your rainbow cichlids are awesome! I like the tank The only suggestion except for adding a background, like Tony mentioned above, is that I would move the lighter color wood ornament a little bit to the right. That's just my personal preference as far as placement goes though. Good luck with the tank!

Love your fish. I think that a big cave as the center piece would be cool.

Awesome fish BB!

One of the smallest Centrals you will find and also one of the most peaceful!
These fish will actually get along with a number of different fish.
Good luck with them.

Thanks, everyone You all came up with some great ideas and I appreciate it very much!

Brian, these guys have become some of my favs. I can see more of them in my future. Maybe with a couple firemouths. That would be a flashy cichlid tank.

Try a dollar store, they usually have the terra cotta pots, cheapest place I have found so far.
