| Change of scenery. Before|After
After|After
I took out the big bulky plastic rock and got a smaller fake rock with some fake coral. I'm planning on adding some more plants as well, and possibly another smaller "coral-themed" decoration. I have lots of room. |

| It's not that I hated the rock, I loved how it looked, but I felt like there was hardly any space with it in there. It was almost wall to wall, and I wanted more room for some plants. Oh well, you guys can like the rock more I don't mind. :P |

| I liked the rock as well but I feel the tank looks bigger without it in there.
Just out of curiousity where did you find a rock like that? |

| Just a heads up on your new coral deco.
I have the same one in my 55 gal tank along with four others that come in the set. I have had to change them twice now because the lights tend to fade the tops of the decorations. Also the yellow and blue/purple coral that is attached may come unglued. When they came unglued in my tank, instead of putting them back into the hole they came out of, I stuck them into the gravel and "expanded" the effect. | do you find the coral hard to keeo clean? I like the look, but I read that both real and fake coral are hard to keep clean, so I didn't get any. |

I haven't seen them there in a while though, I'm not sure if they still have them. Quote:

I'll have to keep an eye on it. I actually got an itch and went out and bought more stuff today. I got some Anacharis to float on the top so hopefully the light is dimmed enough where it won't fade the decoration. Quote:

The pink one with the airstone gets stuff like gravel stuck in it though since it has a lot of little "bowl" kind of things. When I was attempting (and failing at) the fish food method of cycling, it got a ton of food stuff in there too. |

| You know how when you buy something to always want more, more, more? Well, buying that new coral decoration made me want to get more stuff for my tank. So after a trip out to the pet store I ended up coming home with a little barrel decoration and some Anacharis to float on top.
I love how the tank is starting to look! Except the Anacharis doesn't like to stay floating when the tank isn't full enough because the filter's output stirs up the water.
Here's a new picture: |

| I like this very much. The plants at the top are a very cool contrast to the flourescent colors on the bottom. |

| Thanks! I'm liking how it's starting to look too. It balances it out and makes it a little less like "someone threw in a bunch of Fruitloops" like my friend said. |
