JaneAustenAddict's Tanks

The first picture is of my 10g soon-to-be betta home.

The second picture is of my 29g tropical tank. Currently it houses a school of scissor tails and a lone cory cat. I have yet to decide who else to put in it.

I love the color contrast in the 10 gal. What color Betta are you thinking of?

I honestly don't know what color would be best. A dark red would go with the color theme, but also be difficult to see with so much pink and red already in the tank.

What color betta would you suggest?

Your tanks look great!
One thing you might want to check though is the decoration on the left in the betta tank.
Run some panty hose across it. If it snags, it can also snag a betta's tail. Otherwise, nice job.
As far as choosing a betta, I think that they choose you. lol
It's the one you look at, put down but keep going back to.

Both of your tanks look fabulous! I really like the contrast in your 29 tropical community tank.

Also, I have to agree with Lucy. I've never chosen a betta. They've always chosen us.

I'm thinking about going to the pet store on my lunch break to buy a few more pink and red plants for the betta tank. I am having trouble deciding if it is too sparse. If I do get some more plants I will post an updated picture of the tank.

Wow! Beautiful looking tanks! The 10g would do nice if you get more plants as what you said. Try finding some silk plants, I have a few in my 4gal and my 55gal and they look awesome! And they are betta friendly

Both tanks look great, I <3 the betta tank! The contrast is great! I wouldn't add too many new plants. IMO bettas love lots & lots of room to swim.

Thank you very much. I wasn't really intending to rescape it, but when I put the black molly in the tank and couldn't see him because the background was black, I went a little overboard. Just changing the background turned in to redoing the tank. lol
