| Welcome to FishLore!
Your tank looks great! I see you have Neons?....what else are you considering to add? Oh, oops you already answered, lol!!! Not sure if a 75 gallon is big enough for Clown Loaches....you need at least 3, no less. But it sounds great!!! Butterfly is the Loach expert, she can tell you all you need on them. As for the DG...you can only have one or a pair; male/female. But in that size tank maybe get away with more then one male...not sure. Other members can answer that question. | The stones came with the tank. This 75 has made it's rounds. My best friend bought it in 1995, and he kept it until 2000 when he joined the Army. He gave it to another friend of mine who kept it until 2003, when he upgraded to a 180. He gave it to his brother who has had it set up until this month. The brother didnt want it anymore after having his second child, so my friend gave me a call.
I got the 75, tank, top, lights, canopy, stand, ehiem 2215, magnum 350, and all of the sand, and rocks. The only thing I had to buy was the plants, wood, and now finally the fish.
Thanks for comments, and for welcoming me into your community.
I have kept fish for over 5 years, even worked in a few shops way back when, but I have not had fish in 15 years. This is why I listed myself as a newbe, some things have changed and some things I have just forgotten. I have learned and or remembered so many things from this site. Thank you all for your input. |

| Tore it all down and started over. I had been batteling alge for a while. I fixed the problem that was causing the alge, but I was aving a mess of a time getting up all of the dead stuff. It was all over the sand bottom, and just looked bad. I decided to tear the whole tank down and vacume up all of the dead alge. Worked great, and soon realized that the way I had the tank set up before made it real hard to vacume without destroying the way I had it set up. So I decided to go with a more simple aproach. Tell me what you think. Should I keep it this way, go back to how it was, or try something else all together? By the way, the lighting in the pic does not do the lighting in the tank justice. The actinic lights make the white sand almost glow, and it looks so nice. |
