I run weekly "full parameter" tests on all of my tanks.
pH, Ammonia, Trites, and Trates, that also lets me know that PH is staying steady and nothing goofy is going on in the tank. I do daily's on anything that I feel could possibly go into a mini-cycle until I feel it's safe. If anything goes wonky, I'll catch in on the weekly. It also enables me to keep an eye on things long term. I have a log of each of my tanks from start to the weekly tests. It takes a lot of time, but I feel it's important for me to know what's going on with each of my tanks at all times
Yep, paranoid fishkeeper I am, but those weekly tests warned me there was a problem with one of my
betta tanks.
Tony-I was thinking about that. Maybe that 45 would be a good place for two of them if I start getting worried about them having enough space later on. Great minds think alike

I'm thinking they'll be fine, but a back-up plan is ALWAYS a good thing
