can anyone tell me if my platy is pregnant?
she looks a lot bigger then the other female.

p.s: im a first time owner of platy's, so i still cant tell if she is pregnant or not!

Yup, defo pregnant.. My pregnant platy died 2 days ago, just as she was ready to give birth.

do i have to put her in a separate tank? can i keep her in there?
what am i supposed to do now?
i dont want the babes to die. will they be ok in the tank along with the other fish??
i have tetra's, platy's, and the little sucker fish..

and im very sorry to hear your platy died. I only got mine a couple of weeks ago, and im already really attached to them!

What kind of tetras are they? You can buy a separate breeder box and once she gives birth you can catch the fry and put them in the breeder bow. you can buy the breeder box at most LFS's or walmart (although i dont know if walmarts in canada have a fish section)


You could also put more plants in the tank and they will hide in the plants... So they can hide from others.

and yeah our Walmart has a fish section, ill go check it out!
