I dont use a heater since the tank stays at a steady 80' just because I live in the desert; I bought the tank 2nd hand so it only came with a under gravel filter I took that out and after we move into the house in a few days I will pick him up a filter. (till then I just have a lot of water changes to do)

O, sounds cool. That's a mini-bow right, I like those tanks, their really nice looking though I hate the filters they come with.
