| Hey, Shawnie... This is Scuba's wife. Have a quick question. On the eggs... Other than the infertile eggs turning white at around 24 hours, is there a way to visually identify the fertile ones? I see some of the eggs seem to have a light spot at the top, darker colored from the halfway point up, and more translucent on the bottom half. It is only their second time spawning, first time not fertile. Its crazy. I cant peel my eyes off the eggs. LOL. |

the tannish colored eggs are fertilized....the whites are not...make sure the master fisherman keeps the air flowing around them and does DAILY partial water changes with 1 drop of Methylene blue if he can find it...taking out the carbon in his filter as well..the methylene blue keeps the fungus at bay ....keeping my fingers crossed for you both!!!! angel babies are a hoot! |

Gonna get the tweezers on the now. Got a bubbler going next to them and the sponge filter on low flow draining just slightly off to the side to keep the water moving. I am HOPING! The Angels are my babies... and i can't WAIT to be a grandma!!! |

| after about 48 hours, you will see them start to wiggle and even fall off the leaf.....around day 3 they actually look like tadpoles (to me anyway lol) ..they will eat their yolk sacs up until they are free swimming....and day 5-7 you should see them free swimming...I hope you become a gramma also! keep us informed for sure... |

| So the white ones stopped showing up already since like noon or mid afternoon. Right now is been around 48 hrs and we can see tiny little eyes or spots on the eggs. So we are probably having a lot of babies tomorrow. |

| Well guys they started hatching late last night so late that I was watching Ghost Hunters and I was tired and went to bed and around 2am I got up and look at the tank that is staying lit the entire time and found the first wigglers. Now we have a ton of them. Even the ones that fell when we were picking the bad ones hatched. I have an inspection 5X mini magnifying glass and we have been picking at them to see how they look and they look so cool. They look like the way baby cichlids look when they hatch. There bellies is the egg and from there the head and tail come out. So cool. Gonna try to take pics. |
