My male Blood Parrot has been slowly turning more and more pink and tonight he is VERY bright pink. The last pick shows the 2 females - All 3 were orange when I got them...

i have never seen any like these! well... ive seen dyed ones but never orange ones!

I have been told that they frecuently change colors ( When young, they go from orange, to brown, to black, etc )

They sure are cute! They look like cartoons. In the bottom picture on the right he looks like he's smiling. Do they talk in funny cartoon voices? lol

Yes - they do talk in cartoon voices but all they say is FEED ME over and over again...

changing colors happens all the time..and the pink is a males way of saying hes ready to spawn

Both my males and females turn pink when it's close to spawning time. Too, when the lights go out sometimes they are almost white with just a hint of pink. Truly, wonderfully odd creatures. Love 'em!
