| One of the fish rooms Thought I would share a few pics of one of the fish rooms. As most know I am into breeding so most of my tanks are nothing fancy. In fact no tanks in this room have lights on them. Most of these tanks are smaller, the other room is having the floor redone and walls painted so it is a disaster so no pics.
Two racks.
This tank I use to winter some of my Gymnogeophagus so it sits directly on the floor. I dropped my lids a week ago so notice the fancy lids I am using until I have time to cut new ones.
Here is a rack of "" I do not use anymore and haven't in awhile, but can't seem to toss out. Anyone want to come take it away?
And the one tank that is not in a fish room. This one is in the living room and even has lights lol.

Thanks CH!
Right now I have
Gymnogeophagus Labiatus female with a mouthful, I don't expect much her last time she released 8, but she is still small at about 2.5".
I saw the Gymnogeophagus n. sp. Paso Pache doing a dance the other day but haven't seen anything from it yet.
Gymnogeophagus cf. Gymnogenys one female is watching some eggs, but it has been 3 days now she is still in her pot but they normally pick up the eggs after 24-36 hours so who knows with her.
Australoheros cf. Scitulus the female is colored up again but the male has no interest.... i think he needs another talk.
2 of the Gymnogeophagus Balzani females have mouthfuls.
I think that is all that is doing it now or should in the next few days.

I leave the light on in the room all day, and the cord you see coming up from behind the tank on the floor goes to a big light I added for more light in the room. The pics where taken with just one light on in the room.
The canopy was a homemade job I did long ago, as you can see on the left side of the canopy I have a piece coming off. I may redo the whole thing one of these days if I get some free tiime.

I left out where they came from except the G. Balzani which I do not know. But the full names for the others should really be.
Gymnogeophagus Labiatus "Rio Olimar"
Gymnogeophagus n. sp. Paso Pache "Rio Santa Lucia"
Gymnogeophagus cf. Gymnogenys "Arroyo Yerbalito"
Australoheros cf. Scitulus "Paso Pache"
Lets take Gymnogeophagus for example, it really is very important to know exactly what you have. A lot of these fish are just coming into the hobby and soon they may be so screwed up you won't truely know what you have. I will give you a great example.
Here is Gymnogeophagus cf. Gymnogenys "Arroyo Yerbalito"
And here is Gymnogeophagus n. sp. Paso Pache "Rio Santa Lucia"
Both of these fish have their own scientific name, but some people believe they are the same fish just from different areas, as one is found in northern Uruguay and the other in the south. But the Paso Pache have a very distinct blue stripe above their lip. I refuse to keep them in the same tank because I don't want them inter breeding, but if they are the same fish, would I have a "pure" fish if they were they same fish but from different areas with distinct different characteristics? I guess we won't really know until they get around to the DNA testing which I hope will be soon.
And with the yellow coloring these Gymnogeophagus Australis "Rio Uruguay" look similiar to the Paso Pache, much more so than the Gymnogenys I think.
