1st off, I appreciate everyone who helped me, answered questions ,and gave me suggestions about everything (from lights to plants).

I have finally set up my tank and am waiting on the dang thing to cycle (its killing me waiting!!).

Here are some pics, I bought the tank and stand for $60 off Craigslist and have gradually added stuff. I found all of the driftwood on the nearby beach. None of it is waterlogged so you will notice they are wedged under rocks and stuff

Anyways, I am proud, so here they are...

Well, i am still debating what fish to put in. I have decided I am for sure getting some Blood Parrots, maybe 3-4. I want some shrimp and a couple fiddler crabs as well.

I am debating on angel fish, platy's, and maybe some corys.

I still have 1-2 weeks before its finished cycling, but I have been patiently putting this together since May. Took me forever to find tank frames for a reasonable price

I am open to stocking suggestions for sure!

Again, fantastic work j2d. Skip the fiddlers, as I understand it they do best in brackish water and need land area. That isn't so good for your parrot plans.

If you plan on 3-4 parrots, make them the only cichlids in your tank. I keep an adult parrot with an adult JD and gold sev in a 75 and wouldn't dream of adding more cichlids. Other tank mates are 5x botia modesta (they do WONDERFUL in semi aggressive tanks ime) and a rainbow shark. There is also a large striped raphael catfish.

Just a thought.
