| Meet Tarabuco The GBR! This guy has a lot of explaining to do!
I trotted off to the pet shop, and saw the lovely Bolivian Ram tank, indicated which one I'd like, and got him. He was the smallest in the tank and I just fell in love with him from the word go, especially as he's only 1 inch big!
Then, I find out that he's a German Blue Ram! Not a problem though, I love him even more for it!
Because he's supposed to be a Bolivian Ram, he's been named after a small town where they hold an annual festival called Tarabuco!
However I may rename him Franz...
Enjoy! |

| Hi Emily
Congrats on your find.. and Im sure you got a good price for the GBR compared to the prices for the Bolivians.. at least in this country the GBRs are more expensive. I just love these little guys... I know your going to love them too. For such a small fish, they sure have a great personality and come to the front of the tank to see what your up to...
Franz is gorgeous! |

| Well I think they must've had some other GBR's in with the Bolivians, and e cost me £4.88 so i guess he would've been about $8/9 in America. He's so full of personality, and I think he thinks he's a Pristella! They're still bigger than him now! I'm guessing his still a juvie, as he's only an inch big! |

| Thats the average price of GBRs in my area, and the Bolivians go for around 7.00 dollars. At one inch he is still a juvi, tho they only get to be around 2-2.5 inches at adulthood. Your guy has nice coloring and will show even more as he matures. |

When I got him two days ago he was stripy, now he's all yellow, then he's half blue half yellow! He's currently watching with intent at my female guppy who's having her babies as I speak lol! |

| The stripes mean they are stressed. That's normal when they go to a new home.
Him coloring up means he's very happy in his new home!
Good job, Mom! |

Good luck with yours, he's beautiful. | Well as he's a juvie I'm hoping for the best, as I have super hard water, but the LFS has hard water as well, and he seems pretty happy so far, and he's buzzing around. I am worried if the water's 'old' enough. But I guess it's lessons learned if it isn't. I am hoping, after university and I've got my own place (Five years, sigh) I plan on getting a nice big tank and having about four |
