before and after pics

I did some re-scaping in the 120 gallon today. I took out the anubias that the Rotkeils have been shredding and put it in another tank so it will hopefully start looking better. I moved around some of the driftwood too, and the sword plant. What do you all think?

Oh, and ignore the Biowheel, LOL. You never know when that will come in handy, so it just floats in there.

Thanks guys!

I plan to get some more crypts for the foreground. It is looking empty to me right now. I'm just never satisfied, LOL. I'd like some giant vals for the background, but I'm sure the Rotkeils would tear them up. I swear, you'd think it was a salad bar instead of a planted tank!

It's actually many different pieces that are stacked together. When I moved in with my now-husband, we had a ton of driftwood that we combined to get that look.

Cool. I just can't find any locally and the one I see on LFS I don't trust it. The river here is just a big swamp with bacteria.

Sorry to hear it navyscuba. The DW I bought was from my friend's LFS. There are probably 10 different pieces in there.

Thanks treve, I am planning for discus and in addition to the floating Biowheel I have a spare Aquaclear seeding on the 75. The combo should do the trick when I am able to order them.

Your 150 looks great btw!

LOL @ Joy!

We both put a lot of hard work into combining our tanks, for a stock list that was appropriate. I have to give mr. Harpua mad props. LOL

It looks great! We have some driftwood we hope to utilize in our new tank! I didn't think about stacking it up like that - great idea!
