my newest tank= a fluval

okay so I was standing in line at the petstore with a small item and i was increasing getting mad cause of the weight....when i look over and it was like the heaven open up and lite shined down.......i saw it....... a nice self contained tank.......that was all glass, everything hidden and an enclosed glass top......... how wonderful.......so i bought it! and of course called the honey to let him know just how much i love him........: ) ......"should of heard the convo"....... i have been put on notice not to get anymore, since i have five now! .....but i still think there is room for more! and this one is small...and it totally goes with the bedroom theme...........i am planing on getting a halfmoon betta for this........ the heater is a temp one. i used one from my old tanks but plan on a nice simpel black one that you will not be able to see.

MM and lucy told him on another thread about the top. When i first saw these pics i thought they were coverless untill i saw the reflection. i would lower the water level a bit ( like 1/2 inch or 1)

hmmm i didnt think of the breathing part......i havent gone back to the other thread yet.... the opening is about 5x5 and has the filter water coming out and the lights there. do you think the betta would know to go there to breath? it is a 6 gallon tank to answer the other person question. and that is exactly where i have it in the bedroom! ; )

i dont know if he will always go there to breathe. I wouldnt risk it tho. I would lower it a tiny bit so he could breathe. is the glass screen removable?

no its all glass tank and under the black/silver lid screen is the opening where the filter comes out .

the tank is made to have a full water level as you can see some has evaporate and creates air bubbles.... first pic is with the light system down. then you raise it i.e. for feeding, cleaning.....it has about a 2 inch lip on it

i dont know... if you lower the water then you are most likely to get the drops on the glass... Maybe you can hide the tank and tell your hub you broke it and tell him to get you a new one and then later on bring it out again and pretend you didnt know it wasnt broken

you could do a planted tank with a couple shrimps
a deeply planted tank with some red cherry shrimp would look really nice actually. You can have a colony of shrimp
