gold gourami and rearranged decor

http://www.fishlore.com/fishpicture/.../13098/cat/500

Hopefully this works! couple pics of my rearranged decor. finally got it to where im pleased. I especially like how the rock splits the tank and how there are valleys for open swimming at all levels. My gold gourami isnt very camera shy she is a small/medium variant and is fully grown at under 3 inches. just got a GBR today and he seems to be acclimating well. Will post pics soon!

What species is this variant? I've never heard of gold gouramis that max out at 3 inches. Tank decor looks very nice.

Not exactly sure, but the LFS ID sheet said small, and max size 4 inches.

From the pictures it appears to be trichogaster trichopterus, which will grow to 5 inches or more.

Info at the LFS is often incorrect. I wouldn't pay much attention to it.

Shawnie, that is a very pretty fish!

Golds are the same as 3 spots, they are variants of the same species.

How quickly/slowly do they grow? If she keeps growing as you say then obviously ill put him in another tank. Getting a 55 soon anyhow. so far he is very peaceful with the rest.
