Awesome pics! I love gymnogeos. I have always wanted some for my tank, but have never been able to accomodate their required "cooling off period". The only thing I could think to do is put them in an outdoor pond, but I don't think they would like that, lol. Anyways, you have beautiful fish

Thank you. A pond or even a garage tank in so ca depending on where you are( I grew up in ca) would work.
I got mine down to about 60-61degrees in the winter for the cool down period which was about an 18-19 degree drop for 2 1/2 months. If you can manage a great fish to keep.

Thanks you. They aren't in the dark, but most all of my tanks do have a black background on them. Just makes the pics look better in my opinion, cuts out a lot of the other "". All the pics were taken with the lights on in the room.

Those are awesome. I had one that I got by mistake in one order that i got but since I don't have a South American tank I gave it to the LFS that I go to.
