So I have been working with a 20 gal tank for a few weeks. I updated the light fixture to CFL's. Divided the tank in three sections to put the females that are holding the babies in here until they are good to let out. The substrate is Sand and rocks that i had from the 100 gal main tank. Filter is a top fin 60. No heater yet because my temp in the house make the water temp stay at 76 to 78 degrees. Few anacharis and some fake plants. Well enough talking. Here a few pics. The second and third pic are the 2 females holding. The Red Zebra just dropped her new babies this morning. The last pic are the young Red Zebras from the last time the girl was holding they are about 2 months old.

wow didnt realize you could do that small for spitting..is that working well for the moms? she dont freak in that small of an area? if so, saweeeeeeet! gosh knows I have a few 20's lol

Yeap I moved them on the last week or so when there mouth looks like is gonna burst. As soon as I see the little ones are out I move the mom back again to the big tank. Thanks Girl. How you doing BTW?

I use a 20g long for my holding mommas. They seem to be okay with it, they aren't being chased and harrassed by the other mbuna.

I'm doing good. The knee is ok. I was rushed to the hospital a week ago from the base to do emergency surgery to pull my appendix it was about to burst. I'm doing good from that too. The girls are growing and playing with little brother a lot. I posted some pics of him just now on the Rough Day threat.
