I'm so excited, I finally got a good picture of my Gold Nugget Pleco! I've had him for a long time but he is finally brave enough that he comes out while the light is on. He's still out even after the camera flash...

One of my favorite's of the Pleco family... The GN is a gorgeous gorgeous fish and yours is no exception. Beautiful markings there, thanks for sharing.. and nice to see your fellow out and about during the day!

their size can range from 6-8 inches, but they are usually found around 6-7 inches at maturity.

thanks for the compliments! I adore him. He likes to hang out with the Raphael catfish for some reason. I ordered him from my local privately owned pet store, I requested a small one because they told me that some of them can get as big as the common plecos. He's probably 3 1/2 to 4 inches right now. When I went to pick him up it was like pleco mania at the pet store, people must really like them around here. There were a couple of BN's, a clown, a tiny snowball, and a really pretty green one with long fins. The owner must have decent connections. That's where I get all my fish.
