| Those silver dollars are beautiful. They look to be about the same size as my older 4. They are tough guys. Mine survived the cycle (before I knew what I was doing!) so I know they've been through alot. Your tank is gorgeous! Congratulations! |

Some of my plants have seen better days, so there will be some necessary rearranging soon. Its going to look a bit patchy for awhile until I get my baby Java Ferns going, and propagate my wisteria - I'm not going to buy any more plants if I can help it. That's if I can utilize what I have.
The dollars measure just over 6 inches. They're barely 3 years old. Amazing to see how quickly they grew - they absolutely love peas and Sera goldy Royal (pond fish food!) |

| Thanks to all. That is actually a group of ten wisteria plants. When I first bought them, they reminded me of carrot tops. Spindly at first, they are starting to thicken up. The fish love to hang around the leaves and swim through them easily. They have become my favorite, mainly because they have given me the least trouble! A closeup shot shows how they develop roots up the stem, so I'm assuming that I can cut sections off and replant - will confirm that. They were also cheap to buy.
Basically all the rock you see is Kanmantoo Slate, and yes, it comes from Kanmantoo in South Australia. Popular for garden features and again, cheap to buy at AUS$30.00 from a garden supply store. |

When I came back after being a week away, some of my plants were uprooted, some eaten, but they don't do that when I'm here. The vacation blocked was finished so I guess they were hungry.
I feed them lots of greens, especially shelled cooked peas - that might satisfy there urges! |

| Bristlenose Pleco or Bristlenose Catfish? I've always called him a Brislenose Pleco but my wife looked up a site and saw one similar named as a catfish. She showed me a pic of one called a pleco that had a slightly different tail, yet the markings were similar, so now I am a little confused.
Are the second part of the name used to describe the same fish or is there a distinct difference. I know they come from all parts of the world, so they could be named differently depending on where you come from. |

| Morning Life. I read not too long ago that in some places of the world Pleco's are also called cat fish. It's beautiful! |

| Black Widow Tetra Fry? Well that didn't Take long. We put in the Black Widows, Neons and Mollies on Saturday, and these guys were spotted today. We counted at least ten. We think they belong to a Widow as they are too different for the others. |

I'm keeping my Dollars well fed. The ones I have don't fit the typical description - I thought they would go at my Neons, but so far all accounted for. |

| Alive & Well After 2 to 3 weeks, today is the first I've seen one of my two baby plecos. I thought they were dead for sure, but this one is already a lot bigger than when I put it in. I'll add this one back onto the list, and hopefully spot the other one again soon. |
