So are the fry still alive?

Great tank - love the rocks, like everyone else.

I'm worried about them right now. I explain it all in another thread re. my Kuhlis' health.

After surviving another 24 hours, I was put under pressure and moved six of them to my 'quarantine' tank. I found the seventh one the following day.

My Kuhlis supposedly parading for the camera. They must be sick - normally can't keep them still.

The Kuhlis seem to have come good, but they no longer hide. They are quite happy to sit near the front of the tank. I'm curious to know from Kuhli owners if it is normal for them to not hide and remain still for great lengths of time. When they do move, they are not in great hurry either - like a different fish altogether. Maybe they've headbutted obstacles too many times and it's finally caught up with them!

Some days my Kuhlis hide (depends on how rambunctious the rest of their tank mates are being), Some days they are all over the tank like three yr olds hyped on sugar and some days I'll be watching their tank and realize their laying in the plants real still and staring back. I have black kuhlis and stripped kuhlis
They are really unique fish. Now that yours have gotten used to the tank I'm sure you'll see more of them. They will absolutely go crazy for shrimp pellets Yours are nice and fat so they must be eating well

Hi eiginh

I'll do some new pics soon. Not much has changed. The plants have thickened up a bit, and the amazons and java ferns a producing plantlets. I am in the middle of medicating - pretty green! Have had issues with ICH. Hoping I will be back in control by the weekend.

I first noticed the Dollars had it, then the loaches. Everything seems back to normal now, but can't be too sure. The medication was at half strength as I was worried about the affect on my BN's.
The two baby ones make an appearance occasionally but their dad I haven't seen for almost two weeks. I hope I haven't lost him!

Thanks. Haven't been on for awhile. Sad to report that I think I've lost my male BN Pleco. Have not seen him for four weeks. His two offspring had gone missing for awhile and only recently have emerged with confidence and now on show most of the time - which leads me to think with dad out of the picture, they don't feel threatened?
Too hard to pull the display apart in search for him, so I think he is turning into plant food!

It didn't feel that I was away that long, then discovered I couldn't get on LoL. Have had a stressful couple of weeks with work. I'd occasionally take a quick look, but not much to say.

Speaking of fry, I've now got so many molly fry, and none of the other fish are bothering them. I can see that I'll be constantly giving them to the LFS. One of the black mollies is a sailfin, and is always chasing after the ladies. They breed like rabbits!

New Arrivals today

Thought I'd take a pic of these arrivals before they disappear into the abyss! There will be more of these individuals arriving in coming weeks. How many should I get of these in total? I'm planning for another six at least.

Angels

New additions - The 2 on the outside arrived on the weekend, and are now welcoming 4 of their former tank mates from the lfs. I'm just about to reintroduce them to each other after 45 minutes in transition.

They're adapting so well, as if they have been there for some time. Must be so use to humans around them. My dollars and more so the loaches are still nervous.

I'm going to make an attempt on the weekend. I have to set the tripod up the night before. The lights start to come on around 5:30am, and this is when the Clown Loaches are active. If dark in the room, they don't see me, otherwise they start to disappear in their hiding holes.

I'm happy with that buy...not bad I think at AUS$3.95 each. I was tempted to get more. They are impressive schooling, but I have to be careful now with my stock limit.
