My Kribs :o)

I bought a pair kribs from the LFS a couple of weeks ago. The female looked great on day one. The male on the other hand was gray. He stayed that way for over a week then he would show decent colors for short periods of time. It is really amazing to me how fast his colors can change.

Anyway, when I looked into the tank today I noticed that he is looking better than he ever has. I think my kribs either just spawned or are about to. The female only leaves the male's cave for short periods. This may have something to do with the male looking his best .

Here is the male

Question: Should I have posted these in the Krib Pictures sticky thread in the Krib forum? I just want to make sure that I am putting my pics in the right place. Is it OK to start a thread in this forum and also post the pics in the appropriate forum picture thread? .

Those are their breeding colours, so if they haven't spawned they will soon. Mine spawned yesterday in the community tank which they're not supposed to do (they have their own spawn tank), so I spent most of today changing my tanks around because of them!!!!

for the comments

Well as of now I don't think they have spawned yet since the female is still plump. The male is still aggressively defending his home and the female is always close. Hopefully it is just a matter of time .

for the comments .

My kribs have not spawned yet. The female is swimming around the tank again. I am not sure what happened. The female is still pretty small so maybe they are still learning how to do it properly.

If they ever breed successfully, I will move them to their own tank. Hopefully either my Kribs or Bristlenoses will be ready for that in the next couple of months. For now I am enjoying watching my endler fry grow .
