| 8 gallon JBJ 180- pics Hey all, just wanted to share some pics of my JBJ 180 tank that I got a few weeks ago. I saw it on sale at a LFS and couldn't resist because it was so unique looking. It's an 8 gallon half cylinder all-in-one with top mounted filtration and an 11W PC light, perfect for a low light planted tank. Substrate is pool filter sand, and I added a Stealth heater. Inhabitants include 2 peacock gudgeons, 5 pygmy hatchetfish, a few cherry shrimp, and 3 otocinculus (I'm growing these out until they're large enough to move to the 120 gallon).
Anyway, here are the pics. Excuse my lack of camera skills.
Day of setup:
Light and filtration system:
Filtration system- it's an adjustable spraybar aimed at the media tray:
Peacock gudgeon:
Current tank shot, with a couple more plants:
I'm looking forward to the plants growing in. |

| I appreciate the kind words, guys!
lousieg55- if you mean the peacock gudgeons, they are SWEET. I'd recommend them for any peaceful community tank where they can't be eaten. My lousy photography skills do them absolutely no justice- they are stunning in person. |

| Wow, I've never seen anything like that! You did some nice things with it, too. I love pennywort--just got some a week or more ago and I love it. The peacock gudgeon does look beautiful! Are they schooling fish? |

They don't really school. They act a lot like apistos to me.

| With the close ups of the peacock gudgeon, in the tank picture, what is the fish at the top? It looks like it is flying? Last edited by LarryK; June 7th, 2009 at 06:33 PM.
