I tell you what at first I was scared because I never had them and I heard so many things about them. Which btw all missed understandings I think is easier to deal with them than deal with a community tank. I don't have to worry about fin nip picking and stuff like that. So far knock on wood no problems with them. I personally think they are great. They are like my kids. Everytime they see me they get stuck to the glass like feed me feed me. hehe

Is call Acurel F. You put it on the water 2 to 3 drops per gallon. I also put less food on the tank to see. I tell ya I did the treatment for 3 days and within hours of first treatment water was clearing out. Awesome product.

dont be sowwy i thought the product you got was easy balance...but its Acurel F and although I agree that product is fast working, it messes terribly with your pH...so use sparingly....especially with the africans who require the higher ....still amazing shots tho! even if the africans make me koo koo LOL

not afraid..they just drive me nuts and trying to identify them is just as carzy!!!! LOL ...

add some crushed coral to the tank because that product makes it jump super fast(within a day if not hours) I used it on my goldy tanks years ago before knowing the cloudyness was probably a bacteria bloom from a non cycled tank... duh on me!...you want gradual...over time, with the fluctuating ph's, you could have issues....

How Much you think I should add? Is the coral cloud my water again? It looks so good right now.

unfortunately, yes the coral will cloud...unless you can find some nylon or container to hold it all in temporarily ...or even find some big sea shells instead of the crushed....once it settles, you can disperse it..but it will cloud things up ...it doesnt last long tho! its much better than a super jump in ph in a short amount of time...even tho that product makes the tank look amazing , its not very good to have the ph change so fast ...as far as amounts, I have 60lbs for 75 gallons and my ph stays about 7.9 - 8.1

I have a lot of sand and Colorquartz on the tank already. I have 50 pounds of Colorquartz 25 pounds of coarse sand and 15 of Black sand. That is a lot if I'm adding some coral to it too. don't ya think?

for sure thats alot...but why is your ph so low ? does colorquartz do the same as crushed coral? maybe just find 4-5 big sea shells..what is your ph before adding the acurel?

i'm not adding aqurel any more. Is been 5 days since my last application. It was last night between 7.6 to 7.8. not in the brownish area yet. Not sure why the quartz haven't fix it. I started using the cichlid buffer to raise it.
