Pics

Here are a couple pics from Feb. I have since added about 5 more plants to create 3 "zones".
I have one yellow lab (aka Spike)
one male kennyi (Charlie Brown)
two female kennyi (Purps and unnamed)
two love heart parrots (Peachie and O)

Love the set up but your not supposed to mix African Cichlids with New World Cichlids(parrots).

Yeah, I found that out after everyone had been in there a while. Everyone gets along (now that I have created zones). I haven't seen any fighting in a month, and the parrots are the most aggressive in the tank! I have a backup plan to move the kenyi and lab if things go sour.

Ok, that sounds good because i know the Kenyi will get aggressive.

Just something to keep in mind - Parrots don't have any teeth in their mouths. So even though they seem aggressive, they actually have no way to defend themselves.

Beautiful job. As Amanda said...keep your eye on the Bloody Parrots. They may need your help if they start getting picked on.

Hi we are brand new to the site , i havn't kept fish for a long time, but you know ...it doesn't matter how long ..you will always want another tank

well we bit the bullet and bought a new tank the other day, a 125 ltr fluval with the aim in keeping a few cichlids, (rams) i have planted the tank and added a piece of bogwood, added the usual treatments and are now just waiting for the settling period,
here is a snap of work in progress
