Great photos... are you a photographer by hobby or trade? because it is really hard to take great photos of fish tanks...Very nice tank.

I have a hex tank too... due to the height it can be pretty tough decorating them. I like yours a lot.

They present problems... but they are so beautiful too. I had a friend that had (I believe) a 55 gallon hex. I always loved that tank and so when I got back into fish keeping I wanted a hex. I think that this summer I am going to set up a 55 gallon long and transfer all my communtity fish into it... and try to do something really special with the hex tank.

My mom bought this tank in 1988 when I was 11 years old...(I actually FOUND the receipt in the cabinet...leave it to Mom!...) we had it set up just for a few years and it has been empty ever since. She gave it to me about 5 years ago and I am just now getting around to setting it up. However, hubby and I want too many types fish so we are already looking at 55 longs...I am keeping my eye out for a good deal!

Try your local freecycle... that is where I got mine... for FREE! woo-hoo
I just posted a request for a tank and gear... and a lady just happened to be moving and didn't want to move the tank. I also got some other stuff too. 2 Filters, 2 air pumps, a heater and a gravel cleaner from a different person. I don't know what I can use yet, but I'll just freecycle whatever is left when I'm done with set up.

I can't really set it up until summer.... but we went driftwood hunting today and found some cool things.

Love the hex and the fish, I used to have a hex and I know how hard they can be to decorate. You didn't seem to have have a problem with that.

Nice pictures and I also love your tank I have a 44 gallon like that myself. The hex shape is my favorite I also like the bow front shape.
