Finally got my tank setup, plan on adding some more plants. Hope to get some fish in next week. Used flourite and gravel for substrate. Lighting is a 96 watt CF. Been nearly 20 years since my last tank, too long. Will stock with some corys, tetras, danios, maybe rams.

The tank looks really good, getting the tank cycled within a week may be a mission though. do you have test kits to monitor water parameters.

Thanks guys! Yes I have a test kit, plan on doing some tests this weekend. I need to review the nitrogen cycle procedures again, but thought I could add a couple zebrafish or danios to get cycle started. You think I should add more plants, rocks, and wood?
After reading some earlier posts I am removing my carbon filter bags, keeping the foam and bio balls. This was was first experience with Flourite and Eco, tank was was cloudy for several days. But my Amazon Swords are already sprouting new leaves! I also run two filters, total 480 GPH. I was told the water was "good" here for fish.

I am going to do the Fishless Cycle with ammonia and not put in any fish until I get it right! Will post pics when I get the fish in.
