| 3 things that can go wrong here the tiger barbs are fin nippers and put with a betta who has long fins and is also VERY aggressive...you can put 1 and 2 together
also the 2 rainbow sharks are very terrirorial and will fight alot sometimes to the death
also bala shark will get 24" and need a 90g for one |

the two rainbow sharks are not fighting(they don like each other but no fighting im going to remove one of them and give it to a friend) with each other, and the betta has been in the tank for over 3 month now the tetras dont get near him. |

| bala sharks arnt aggressive at all they are schooling fish (singular is also ok), as for having two rainbow sharks i dont think it will cause that much of an issue in a 50gal although you may need some more deco to make some hiding spots(having said that i have seen 1 RTS 3 Rainbow live together in peace, although different fish may have different personalities)., the beta you will need to watch as your serpae and tiger barbs are nippers.
Now for the real reason to your thread, your tank looks good did i see a zebra danio in thier? |

| Actually what I see as a potential disaster waiting to happen is the way your tank sits on the tanks stand. Ahhhhh its not supported? How long have you had it set up this way??
Just very worried for you.
Unless. . . am I seeing a piece of plywood under the tank? |

| The problem with a 13 inch fish in a 50 gallon tank, is that they can't turn around very easily. This can be cruel for the fish. I wanted a rainbow for my 55 gallon. I was advised not to by many members of the forum. Also, rainbows will fight with each other as they get bigger. |

| If the tiger barbs indeed do not near the betta, then thats fine, but i advise you to watch it regularly.
Also, like may people have sais, Even a 13" fish (bala shark) it won't really ba able to turn. a 50 gallon tank is less than 12" long (or 12").
Finally, Yes the rainbow sharks may not be fighting as they usually don't when young. But once they mature they won't be able to stand each other. It is advised in many, many wensites to only have one per tank. The only reason why petsmart and LFS are able to have them together is because they are juvies and juvies won't tend to fight. |
