| I think looking at a fish in a picture rarely does the fish justice. He looks splendid. Are you going to add some more fish in the tank? |

Right now he is with an Angelfish and two inch pleco. did have a Silver Dollar with him too but he had to be put back into the 20 gallon cause jd was starting to pick on him a bit. I'm lookin into gettin a couple more pictus when my fish store gets them in, hopefully this week and be able to get them on Saturday. Possibly another firemouth too. |

| Great looking JD! I want to get one to live with my Oscars, theres a really cool one at the LFS about 2 inchs. Trouble is my Oscars are about 5inchs and they're both really mean, they kill anything that goes in their tank, so I don't think he'd survive. |

Very beautiful JD you have there. My two are still juvi's and I am waiting for the day that they really start showing the all over color. I see that you had firemouth cichlids in with your JDs. That is good to know, as when my two JDs move over to the 55, I was wondering what else may go with them besides Silver dollars, which get pretty large. Quote:

| it was good at the time because I adore my jd's...but they are super submissive now and that probably was because of growing up with huge fish ...even tho they are gone, (the oscars), my jd's are still very submissive...but beautiful! |

| My JDs are super nervous. they bolt into the corners the minute I come near the tank. Wish they would stop that! lol... jeesh... their going to hurt themselves one day. The male is much more nervous than the female who comes to the front of the tank, ready to eat. But the male.. boy.. wish he would get over it. |

| Hi capekate!
My JD likes catfish as tankmates, lol!!! Of course the one's that dont get too large. When the time comes to think about a few other tankmates for your JD's thats one suggestion for ya'. I even have an Angelfish, about the size of a 50 cent piece, maybe just a tad bit smaller in with him now and he doesnt mind!!
Oh and thank you all for your comments! |
