Oh whats this? A christmas present for me?

Got them in from my man Kenny in California today! This is my second shipment from Kenny/Forrest in Malaysia. And once again, awesome.

More pics to come as they settle in...just a teaser for now.

Aww They look like they are half asleep - I guess travel is exhausting no matter what method you use.

They look pretty sleepy. But markings are beautiful. I know you'll post more when they color up. Thanks!

Haha, yeah those pictures came just as they came out of the dark box. Their eyes will be fully red and colors should return soon. They are settling into their tank now. Swimming around looking a little light, but great.

Oh WOW! Beautiful! Santa loved you this year
I was reading in one of my Old, Old fish books that discus were shipped at that time stacked on their sides in a container. Can you imagine! Shipping techniques have so improved since those days.

Thanks.

They still are shipped that way out of the jungles of the amazon to Import/export facilities. Its actually not as bad as you think. It keeps the fish from swimming around to much banging itself up as well as keeping it from jumping.

It is nice though how much shipping fish has improved.

No, the only fry i have are (were) 4 small sub 1"ers i got from the last club auction. Sadly i've lost 2 of the 4, which is common especially with discus fry. The other 2 are still with me but it looks like out of the 4 i had, only 1 will grow up to be a viable adult.

The blue ones are gorgeous! Thanks so much for posting their pics.
I have to say, I do enjoy looking at your fish.

I'm really sorry you've lost the 2 fry and are in danger of losing a 3rd. Are they that hard to raise?

At a young age yes. The 2 that died were much smaller to begin with so i was semi expecting them to die off. And this third is much smaller then the largest.

That is the last one! You said you have 4 fish, 2 died, so you will have 1 adult. I wanted to know what happened to the last one.
