I've had a pair of angels in a 29gal tank for years, 3-4 years i'd say. The female recently died and i replaced her with what i thought to be another female. The other is a proven male.

This is what i found 1-2 days ago, and these pictures were taken last night.


Yep, wigglers! The female seems to be taking care of them by herself. They came from this pair:

For the record i do have plans to clean and redo their tank, as you can see all the algae. I just havn't gotten around to it yet. Honestly, the tank has been without a water change since...who knows when (3, 4, 5? months maybe?). But hey they are breeding so something must be right.

Thanks. It was intentional in the fact i replaced the female hoping for something. I just didn't expect this until i cleaned the tank some.

They definitely need a water change but the algae will provide infusoria growing in it for the fry.

Thanks all. I was lucky when i got her from the LFS, her tube was halfway down so it made it easier.

Wow I wouldn't even know what to look for for a breeding female angel.

a more pointy nose and head shape ...cause most times you wont see the breeding tube in a fish store...matt was lucky!
