| All the severums I am so in love with severums b/c of our 4. They are so personable. The green pair are in breeding mode for the first time. They are chewing up all our java moss. I read they ruin plants during breeding time.
Enjoy the pixs! |

| It's a good thing I only have 1 severum. He never (knock 3X on wood) ripped any of my plants. Not yet so far anyway. |

Golds are 2.5-3" and the greens are 4.5-6" big so double their size. The larger gold tries hanging out with the green ones...but the male smaller green chases him away lol.

I am taking each of the plants they start picking at and moving them to other tanks. They really like the java moss and the stringy roots of other plants. |

| Severums do like to eat plants, as they are omnivorous.
I used to feed mine some spinach, veggie flakes, peas etc. to try and keep them from devouring my plants. |

They get the spirulina flake...but they just love the darn java moss. We WERE trying to get to grow all over the largest piece of wood in our 120g BUT they have plucked off all the moss which was starting to stick to the wood.
Good thing they are cute and sweet fish. |

I suppose they are just trying to clean a spot to lay eggs so they pick on whatever is on the wood. |

Sorry I miss this. Aren't they pretty, though? Keep an eye on your little ones though as they can be rowdy at breeding time. |

There are lots of hiding spots for the golds to get into...so they can run for cover when needed. |

| They're so sweet, cute and pretty they make me think of what the late Steve Irwin used to say - "I just want to kiss them right on the lips!" |
