New malawi cichlids

I got my 4 Cynotilapia afra cobue last night....the guy thru in 2 Labidochromis Hongi a male & female...who can't go with my labs, all juvis.
BUT we are getting another tank soon a 55g or more...like this week.

The striped guy is the dominant cobue afra, the lighter less or no stripes are females or possibly sub dominant males....I think that I have 2 males and 2 females but they are only 2" big, they have 1.5" to go to get full sized.

The Hongi male is the bigger one with orange rust & blue. The smaller one in the pix #3 is the female. They only get 4" atm.

I didn't have to pay a cent...Our friend wanted some so he bought them all.

Gave me the 4 cobue I wanted then thru in the hongis.
The cobue I got from you are their parents. Thanks...it was REALLY hard to get pix of them.

Lucky you!! Way to go.

Did he still got the parents or he sold them too. That should be a good breed then. You'll have better pictures of them once they get settled in their new environment. They're quick though that's for sure.

Yup he still has the parents, he loves them. As do I.
I did take the pix when I first woke up...patience is not a morning thing for me.

I don't blame you both. And I thought he wanted to get rid of the breeding pair as well.

Did you go pick them up yourself or just your friend?

He surprised us last night by dropping them off, after he met up with Darrell.
