Here it is, my 12 gallon dwarf puffer tank, a couple weeks later and almost ready to house one.

I'm thinking about switching some of the plants. Today I found the nicest pet store in the area, and they had a big selection of fake plants, including those paper-like ones I have been looking for (and well-cared for fish, too!). I also need to find something to put on the top of the tree root cave, because its open and I'm concerned about fish getting stuck. Maybe some of those river rocks people have in their tanks.

Just a couple more days!

EDIT: Oh, and some airstones.

My nitrite level went down from 1 to .50! I bought the air stones yesterday.

Soon, soon...

Wow, I don't even have a fish yet and I'm already thinking about my next tank. That 6.6 gallon bookshelf tank would be another great puffer home... Except this time I think I'm going to go with river rock and those softer plants. Maybe some of those hampster tubes I see in everyones betta tanks.

Maybe for Christmas.

Is it just me or does this tank look cooler?! The papery ones are silk plants. I prefer them to plastic - but I prefer lives over them both!

When did you get the nice background? I acctualy thought the plants on the picture where in the tank!

Thanks. I wish I would have found that store with the silk plants before I set up my tank. They had tons of different kinds. The plastic ones just seem really edgy compared to them. I'm thinking I should slowly replace them.

The background was just the other side of my old background.

I don't think you should slowliy replace them, I think you should slowly add more... The more jungle like, the better say mr.Puffer!
