Simple Molly tank

Hi guys. My first post here.. I'm from singapore. my nephew recently caught some mollies from a farm..so i just set up a simple tank for them to at least survive..I gradually fell in love with the mollies! here are some pics of them! Please do comment! I don't mind having some tips on keeping mollies too

Tank Overview (Small tank)

This is my favourite one. Sailfin molly?

gorgeous fish, they are really beautiful. I'm a fan of the lyre tail dalmation myself, I have one

the dalmation is the black and white spoted ones

they look very cool, could never catch tropical fish where i live!

not sure if the tank is cycled, so i would suggest reading this.

http://www.fishlore.com/NitrogenCycle.htm

if the tank isnt cycled, i would do a 50% water change every other day until it is.

the fish look nice! good luck with them!

Thanks for the webby..Did not cycle the tank first though..cos it was too sudden..performing some water changes every other day..the fishes are active and healthy so far.

Gorgeous Mollies! I love the yellow.. it looks so dainty. Since these fish were wild caught they will be more sensitive to your water conditions than those of tank raised and breed. Just keep up those water changes and by keeping the tank free of waste you fish will be better for it.
Good luck with them... they look so healthy and beautiful!

Thanks alot! I also love the colours of all the mollies. I wanna buy some more mollies to add in but the tank is just too small for more haha

Actually I would like to add 1-2 bottom dwellers in the tank. Any recommendations ?

They're beautiful mollies. How many gallons is the tank? You'll want about 4 US gallons per molly.

Hmm...not very sure how many gallons it that tank..but its surely overcrowded with mollies...but many died after i did a water change and washing of filter media with the water i siphoned out..now left 2 only
