It's called Hygrophila polysperma Quote:

It was for my 44g diamond tank when I had it but I cut it up to fit all my smaller tanks. The one with column and a statue under water alll blue and white. |

| Alli - Your tanks look good. The first one with the cichilids looks great. although I have 1 question.
Is is wise to have stones right up against the glass? Could this not cause damage/weak points - or at least scratches in the glass? |

Most Malawi tanks are set ups like this. The rocks on the bottom are touching the glass bottom, the middle ones are all secure...I put my weight on them to make sure they were sturdy. |

| The Cichilid tank looks really good -
Will they not tolorate plants at all? Come to think of it I've never seen a Cich tank with anything but stones in.
I've never kept them so I'm unsure. |

They LOVE to EAT plants since I'll be keeping mostly mbuna Malawi cichlids and they love to dig. Certain male species especially zebra type dig like crazy. I'd be replanting the plants everyday, since my yellow lab male likes to dig too. |
