What a nice way to give depth to the tank with the glass bowls and plants... very creative and pretty! Nicely done.

And your boy is so handsome! I bet he just loves his little home.

Thanks... MM gave me the idea with the martini glass in her tank. I tried them empty but my boys weren't impressed.

He will be getting an upgrade this week to a 10g with 3 otos.
Thanks all...I love trying out different decor...hoping to to do all planted when all the betta are 100% looking good. I am going to try to have a marble substrate with plants some how. Maybe more glass dishes.

I have been pondering those glass bowls in Felix's tank... lately I've been looking on Craigslist for shallow/long-ish tanks for more bettas and all the tanks I like are taller and skinnier than I want.
I wonder, does he ever rest on the rocks in the cups instead of on the bottom of the tank? That would be a great way to give them easier access to the surface in a deeper tank... that gorgeous set-up of yours has inspired me!

I don't think it has much to do with intelligence level...more to do with being obsessed with fish....oh and having way too much time on my hands has something else to do with it.
