One For The Kitchen
Hi all, finally got my nursery tank set up and cycled, there are currently 28 baby leopard mollies in there, all about a week old, when they get big enough, they will go into another tank, hopefully to be sold.
The tank is a 15L baby BiOrb, my wife chose it, as a kitchen ornament, she liked the look of them, and it made persuading her a lot easier. lol.
I must admit though, it does make a great looking ornament, and practical too.
Any cooments please, also, anybody ever had anything to do with them before?
Cheers, Trev

Yeah, its a mini filter, foam on top with carbon underbeath, and the stones in there are ceramic, so it has everything it needs. The air system is all built in too.
There are loads of add-onns available, like LED lamps instead of the halogen ones, which change colour, a volcano effect bubble tube to replace the standard one, and loads more.
As I said, ornamental and practical.

The set up cost me £60, it came from a uk store called Pets At Home, Here's the link, www.petsathome.com you may be able to get mor info about it on here, and perhaps find a US stockist.
The make is actually called BiOrb
Hope this helps

According to Chickadee, they produce pretty strong currents from the filter. Not sure how good that would be for fry, but I've never had one. It does look cool!

I will do, also, watch this space, going to buy another tank in a couple of weeks for them to live in when they are about 6-8 weeks old, and outgrow the Biorb, besides, there will probably be more in there by then. lol.

The great thing is, they magnify the fish.
They come with a warning tho, not to put them in direct sunlight, because they magnify the rays, and can make thins catch fire.
