I really think it was the silver arowana and at first I thought every thing would be alright they didnt seem to do anything to the fish but was chasing the fish around a little. I dont think the kois would do that because they were moving pebbles around and last year when I won one my kois didnt seem to have a problem with it and it still died.

You know its sad that they have games like that for a goldfish, just think of the fair i went to a couple of years ago that was giving out bunnies for putting a golf ball in a cup, imagine what happend to the bunnies? Just so happend my mother is a huge bunny fan, and knows what she is doing w/ them as I do w/ my fish, her bunny goes to the vet every 2 weeks for "grooming purposes" that bunny gets better care than I did as a child, her fish, well lets not go there, the bettas are pampered w/ their big minibows, but she neglects the tank w/ the angel fish to the point the last time I went to the house I asked her why she hadn't cleaned the tank, she said because the betta fry take up so much time they dont' have time to clean the 29g tank w/ a python, why? a python, it takes me 30 min to take everything out of my 55g tank and do a vaccum, clean all the filters, scrub the walls job once a week, the water change halfway through the week on 6 of my tanks only takes 15 min....
I told her to drain the water into some jugs, and bring me the tank I would take care of the fish (and I am not a s american fish person but I would take over the angels she has they are pretty there was MOLD in the tank on top)

The poor goldfish at the fair? If I had a dollar for everyones eyes that have bugged out of their heads when I told them the proper size for a goldfish tank and a betta tank I could buy me a 100g tank... at least...
starting w/ a fellow worker in my dept that had 20 goldfish in a 10g tank... he went out and bought more tanks , and I think for sure he took the goldfish back, the problem the fishstore said yeah you could do that in a 10g tank.... along w/ 2 plecos
now the last fish plans he had was getting a minibow for a betta. and asking what could go in what tank, I gave him my first aquarium book to read and left it at work for a good month... it really helped..

but we can't teach them all, and people will only do what they want to do, and learn what they want to (and just like the words from my uncle when they forced him to go back to school, you can send me to school, but you can't make me learn! yea well I had to guide him through the sporting goods dept at walmart when I was going to college working there reading labels to him, they didn't make him learn!) lets just say though the last time I visited his house he showed me a pic of how he funded his new home, him in a room filled to the windows w/ a certain type of greenery, hes done that for 20 years+ and never got arrested)
