I want to exchange my Pleco for a BN Pleco but I don't want to give up on him. I can always move him to my 55 if he gets too big.

I have ordered a light, 96 watts. Right now I am running 40.

Filter is Fluval 303 and has 3 media baskets. Right now I have carbon in the lowest chamber, Biomax in the middle and Filter fiber in the top. I plan on changing out the carbon with Peat Moss and the Filter fiber with Filter Pad.

I am also reading up on CO2 and trying to develop a plan there.

The background has a print similar to what is in the tank as far as plant and rocks go but I want to change it to just black.

I love the tank...I need to learn different plants to put in..its so natural like...and id love a tank with glass cats n angels..can they co exist together?

All the research I have done on Glass Cats suggest that they can live fine along with almost any community freshwater fish. If I do get the Glass Cats I would get 5 or 6 of them since they are schooling fish. I don't think I would push it in this tank and get Angels too. I think I would find myself overstocked.

I am also considering Glowlight Tetras they don't get quite as big as Glass Cats so I may be able to manage having both the glowlights and Angels.

cool!! I want plants in my tank, but dont want to bother with the co2 tanks n extra lighting..so someday ill explore lowlited plants ..great job again!

I have a Fluval 303 filtering this tank. Today I changed the media. I put a small bag of Peat Moss in the lowest chamber, kept the Bio-Max rings in the middle one and changed the top one from filter fiber to a filter pad.

Thanks, That plant has been in there the longest but seems to be growing like crazy. I really need to do some trimmings and replanting of the stuff.

I also just got my new light fixture today. Still need to put it together though.

Ryno, your tank is absolutely GORGEOUS .

As far as I know, they can coexist together. In fact, I'm planning on having Glass Cats with Angels in the future. Glass Cats are very peaceful fish, plus they're too large for Angelfish to be able to eat them. Of course, as always, Angels CAN get aggressive towards ANY fish - even towards a fish of their own species - especially when they're breeding. This is a natural response in order to protect the spawning space and the eggs. The best way to mix Angels + any other species is to provide LOTS of hiding spots for the smaller/more vulnerable species, for example a lot of plants.

Yesterday I went to The Wet Spot (the name of my LFS). Got some new plants and some new fish.

I got a Male Forktail Rainbow (Pseudomugil furcata) he is really cool, swims non-stop, has cool weird yellow fins and a bright blue eye. I have had my eye on these fish for a very long time. They used to sell them in pairs but now they have only males available and are selling them individually. Also got 6 Emerald Eye Rasboras (Rasbora dorsiocellata), and they happened to be on sale, which was a nice surprise.

The plants I got are Aromatica (Limnophila hippuroides) and Red Tiger Lotus (Nymphila zenkeri).

Took some more pics too, now I just need to clean my glass, trade in my Common Pleco for an Albino BN Pleco and buy a new camera, these pics don't do the tank justice.
