New 28 G Bow front tank

This is my new (and first since childhood) fish tank. It is still in the cycling process. It currently is home to 3 neon tetras. I am testing the water daily and am getting great readings thus far. I am looking around for some interesting decor for the tank, rocks/caves..ect. As of now i have just a few fake plants. I am interested in getting a real plant or two..but i wanted to hold off on that until the tank is stable. Once fully cycled my goal is to have:

2 angles, 3 neons and 2 panda coryda cat fish.

Any suggestions?

-thanks!

mark

Plants are good during a cycle as they use up nitrates. But I would suggest rocks, some caves of slate or other home made rock cave, and more plants! Also you are pretty close to getting near overstocking so add fish slowly and make sure to test your water and keep up on the water changes

Welcome to Fishlore.

Angels are great and I'd recommend using Prime to treat the water since you're cycling with fish. If you get Angels, they'll not be compatible with the neons as they'll most likely eat them when they get big enough.

did you get it at petsmart? I was looking at a 28 gallon bow front there. how do you like it so far. I wanted it for angles and a pair of ram and some schooling fish.

Yup, i bought it at PetSmart. The Fish tank was on sale for 99 dollars (including heater, hood and filter) and the stand was an additional 120.00. For me it was perfect. I thought it was a great deal. I am enjoying it very much. :-)
