My bf came home with about 17 different Malawi Africans. Early xmas gift for me.
I got my old breeding pair of electric blue haps back. They are huge now!
We've a few zebra species: M.Greyshakei 2 males and female, a red zebra male & female (both red) & an afra species. There is tiny > Greyshakei * a red zebra fry we have in breeder trap and 4 other 1.5" juvis one is male b/c it keeps shaking at the other ones. I have to ask the guy exactly what he gave my bf

wow lucky girl! thats awesome that your bf buys you those kinda things my guy thinks I'm a geek but the day he comes home with fish like that for me?? wow... beautiful fish I can't wait to see how they all work out for you I like the big brown guy!

number one looks like a acie to me it looks just like mine... you can see a little bit of a kenyi in it with the 2or 3 stipes up and down there.

He's got teeth...like an afra. I don't think he is hybrid...the guy I got him off of is against that.

Some questions if you dont mind...
The first pic, what type is it?

The second pic -Red zebra female-
A fish exactly the same but an orange/light pink-ish colour..
what would it be?

lol...I was just figuring that out. It's a
Labidochromis sp. "Mbamba...I was told it was a Hongi but it looks different more like the Mbamba

It's a different color morph of the red zebra/metriaclima estherae. I don't think we'll be keeping the orange ones. I like the look of the red zebras with the blue male MUCH better.

Yeah the blue always looks better! Mine used get beat up by the orange and spent his time hiding thereafter.
They are beautiful fish!
