i love goldfish.
I'm more into the calicos and red and whites though
i actually used my tank for goldfish before transfering it to tropical
the ones i had moved into our pond or my dads bowl upstairs
im glad i changed though there are so many variaties of tropical fish and they are so much easier to breed

Thanks Guys,
i wanted to go for pearlscale too but they r very sensitivie and require extra maintenance and bigger tanks otherwise they will die.

They're beautiful! I wish I could include a goldfish in my soon-to-be tropical tank but for many reasons that just wouldn't work (especially because they prefer much cooler temperatures than 78 or so degrees).

yeah right, if u wanna keep goldfish u have to go for only goldfish, but they can look very very nice if u mix up black moors, orandas, fantails and pearlscale in a big tank, i mean fancy types, but it is better not to mix fancy types and common or carp goldfish. because common goldies r fast eaters; they will eat up all the food before slower fancy types could reach it.

Big fish and small fantails yes. Even my 2-3" balas can get food with the monster 7-8" tinfoils and commons/comets running around. Fantails have no problem either.
